Bellator Unveils Golden Gloves For Milestone 300th Event
This weekend, Bellator MMA reaches a huge milestone for the promotion with its 300th event.
The card is set to take place on Saturday night at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California, and the organization has taken steps to make this event feel special.
Though the card may have taken a hit after losing the heavyweight world championship clash between Ryan Bader and Linton Vassell, three other title fights make up the main card.
With the likes of Usman Nurmagomedov and Cris Cyborg in action, it’s still set to be a memorable event and that’s only on paper. In the cage itself, the promotion has made this event different from all of its other shows by switching up one standard piece of the Bellator experience, the gloves.
Bringing in golden gloves for this one-off event, journalist James Lynch shared this up close and personal look at the commemorative gear for the landmark show.

Bellator Golden Gloves Set To Commemorate A Huge Night For The Promotion
On top of it being its 300th event, which is an incredible feat all on it’s own, there were rumors that previously pointed to this being one of the final shows in the history of the promotion.
Bellator 301 is currently on the calendar for November 17, with no announcements regarding future events at this time.
If this is set to be the organization’s final run of shows, commemorating them with little touches like the golden gloves only makes them feel a bit more special.
With UFC 300 likely taking place in April next year, it’ll be interesting to see whether the promotion also utilizes golden gloves for the event.
