There were two title fights featured on the stacked Bellator 301 event earlier tonight (Fri., Nov. 17, 2023) inside Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Ill., and both championship belts switched hands once the dust settled.
Shortly after Patchy Mix submitted Sergio Pettis to become the undisputed Bantamweight champion with a slick submission win, Jason Jackson one-upped Mix in the main event of the evening thanks to a spectacular knockout win over Yaroslav Amosov.
After a slow start from both men, which saw Jackson stuff every one of Amosov’s take-down attempts, “The Ass-Kicking Machine” started to unleash his hands in round three, landing several big uppercuts. Eventually Jackson landed a massive three-punch combination that dropped Amosov. He managed to get back up before getting dropped once again. Not one to waste any time, Jackson didn’t allow Amosov to get up again, going in and landing yet another uppercut to the now-former champion that put him out.
Check out some of the action below:
Jackson becomes the first man to ever defeat Amosov, snapping his 27-fight unbeaten streak. As for “The Ass-Kicking Machine,” he now improves his own win streak to seven in a row inside the Bellator cage.
