Invicta FC 54 Results – MMA Sucka
Invicta Fighting Championships, the biggest all-female fighting organization in the world, will make its return on Friday, Oct. 27 for Invicta FC 54. The main event will see newly minted strawweight champion Danni McCormack defend her title against former challenger, Poland’s Karolina Wójcik.
The show will emanate from the Citizens House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts.
Fight fans can catch Invicta FC 54 streaming live on the promotion’s YouTube channel, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT for the five-fight main card.
Invicta FC Strawweight Championship — McCormack vs. Wójcik
McCormack will be defending her title for the first time since defeating former champion Valesca Machado, a fighter who was formerly scheduled to compete on Friday night. Although she trains out of SBG Ireland, a gym famous for producing quality MMA strikers such as countryman Conor McGregor, McCormack brought a full MMA arsenal into her fight with Machado, taking her opponent down seemingly at will in order to find openings on the feet. She ended up cashing as a +360 underdog on most sportsbooks, and now finds herself in a position to fight a former title challenger in Wójcik who has had plenty of success in other areas of the world as well.

The Polish standout once won a fight on Dana White’s Contender Series when she defeated Sandra Lavado by way of unanimous decision. However, she did not receive a UFC contract and did not participate on this season of DWCS, necessitating her inclusion in Friday night’s main event. Wójcik is a point fighter not unlike many of the division’s elite talents, but knows she will need to get her striking going quickly if she is to avoid a similar fate to Machado, who is a recent common opponent for both women. Whereas Wójcik came up short to Machado, McCormack did not, however, Wójcik’s fight with Machado came at the conclusion of a one-night tournament to crown the new strawweight champion. Complicating matters is that fact Wójcik took a controversial split decision over UFC veteran Gloria de Paula to find herself in that spot.
In any case, Friday’s main event will not be one to miss.
Rest of the Card
The aforementioned Machado was originally scheduled to hold down the co-main event against recent DWCS alum Isis Verbeek, though Verbeek was recently replaced with veteran Kalindra Faria. However, Faria fell ill due to her weight cut, and that fight is now off altogether.
In the new co-main event, another former title challenger, Kristina Williams, is set for action to take on upstart Irishwoman Dee Begley. Begley is a training partner of McCormack’s at SBG Ireland under Head Coach John Kavanaugh, but will have a tough task in front of her in Williams, who toughed through a five-round striking affair with former flyweight champion and current UFC fighter Ketlen Souza back in January.
With no UFC or any of the “Big 4” promotions this weekend, the return of Invicta FC 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 shines bright! 🥊

Also on the card for Friday evening is a strawweight bout between Hilarie Rose and Andrea Amaro, two Americans who bring a fan-friendly style with them to the cage. Rose is 6-6, but once competed on DWCS and has fought the higher level of competition, though Amaro is coming off consecutive wins in Combate.
The women’s featherweights will also be in action, when Julia Dorny takes on Riley Martinez. The German, Dorny, suffered her first defeat on the PFL Challenger Series back in March, and will look to right the wrong against a fighter in Martinez who has won both of her professional fights by way of first-round finish. Opening the show will be Canada’s Maria Djukic and Brazil’s Fernanda Araujo in the bantamweight division.
