PFL Reportedly Sends Nate Diaz Official MMA Fight Offer After Jake Paul Rejects Boxing Rematch
It would seem that the Jake Paul-Nate Diaz saga is far from over.
The younger Paul brother comfortably saw off the Stockton native’s challenge in the boxing ring earlier this year with scorecards that read 98-91, 98-91, and 97-92. While Diaz had his moments in the fight, Paul scored a knockdown en route to a fairly one-sided win — the kind that generally doesn’t beget a rematch in boxing.
However, it would seem that that is exactly what the legendary UFC fighter is angling for.
A tweet put out by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) earlier today informed that Paul and Diaz both received offers from the PFL to make the rematch in MMA and not boxing.
It also mentioned that Paul had accepted the offer. There was no mention of Diaz’s status.
“For the record: Jake Paul will not be boxing Nate Diaz again. Nate Diaz and Jake Paul have received an offer from @PFLMMA to rematch in MMA in the SmartCage. Jake Paul has accepted the offer.”

However, the 38-year-old with a 21-13 MMA record has previously made his thoughts clear on the matter.
Nate Diaz: Rematch In Boxing, Trilogy Fight In MMA — But Not In The PFL
Jake Paul was a guest on the Full Send podcast, where he claimed that Diaz was afraid of taking him on in MMA because it would be a ‘lose-lose’ situation for him.
In response, Diaz put out a tweet that clarified his stance on the matter.
“You’re full of sh*t. I didn’t ask for sh*t. I’ll fight you tomorrow in MMA. The problem is you suck and I don’t work for pu**yFL dumbass, you do. Rematch is in boxing, trilogy is in MMA. You need time to train anyway. You suck, New Year’s Eve is good”

It would appear that Diaz wants to even the score with Jake Paul in a boxing ring first before potentially fighting him in MMA.
While Paul signed with the PFL in early 2023 and can only fight for the promotion, Diaz is currently a free agent and should technically be able to ply his trade under any banner.
However, he has stated openly that he intends to return to the UFC in the future after wrapping up his boxing sojourn, where a Conor McGregor trilogy fight potentially awaits him.
As such, with Paul insisting on a MMA fight next in the PFL and Diaz demanding a rematch in boxing, it remains to be seen how the next leg of the drama between the two plays out.
