UFC 295 Pre-Fight Press Conference Highlights & Faceoffs

UFC 295 is just hours away and some of the main card fighters came together on Thursday to promote the upcoming event.

UFC 295 is headlined by a vacant light heavyweight title fight between former UFC champions Jiří Procházka and Alex Pereira. In the co-main event, Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich will battle for the interim UFC heavyweight championship.

The last-second shakeup at the top of the UFC 295 card hierarchy came after Jon Jones’ withdrawal due to injury. Jones was supposed to face Stipe Miocic in the UFC 295 main event.

Procházka will make his long-awaited UFC return after suffering a serious shoulder injury ahead of UFC 282 last year. He hasn’t fought since a title win over Glover Teixeira at UFC 275.

Procházka is unbeaten in his UFC tenure with recent victories over Dominick Reyes and Volkan Oezdemir. Before he signed with the UFC, he earned the RIZIN light heavyweight championship by defeating ‘King Mo’ Lawal in April 2019.

Pereira earned the light heavyweight title shot after a close win over Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291. He made the move up to light heavyweight following a loss to Israel Adesanya in his first UFC middleweight title defense at UFC 287.

Aspinall and Pavlovich are two of the top heavyweight contenders after a slew of recent finishes. The winner is expected to face the Jones vs. Miocic victor sometime next year.
